Excellent Beatles Tour
At our request, the driver focused our Rock and Roll taxi tour mainly on the Beatles with loads of places to see and many other great sights too from the Stones to early rock and roll.

Great Time Seeing London!
This was our first visit to London and was only going to be there for a day and a half. We wanted to see as much of London as possible in a very limited period of time. So how to do that? We looked at many of the tours offered and didn’t think that most of them – given their group nature – was the way to see all of London in the time we had. We ran across London Black Taxi Tours and knew this was for us.
We selected the full day trip which was expensive – but it was worth every pound or dollar. What a tour. Our driver, Steve, was equal parts wheel man and certified tour guide. As expected he took us to all the places on the regular tour routes – dropped us off (when we couldn’t park) at the curb and returned to us after ample time for all the photos one would want.
Given the flexibility of the taxi versus bus, we saw more of London than one could imagine. One of the highlights was being driven to an out of the way pub for lunch. It was a historical building on the waterfront that probably could only seat 30 folks or so. We were the only Yanks and had an enjoyable lunch and conversation with the locals. We were having such a good time, Steve had to come in and get us. Steve was a wealth of information that you normally wouldn’t get from a tour guide in a bus.
By the end of the day, Steve wasn’t just a driver / guide, but more like a relative showing you his town.
As you can tell by the length of the review. Mike of London Black Taxi Tours & driver/guide Steve were just what we wanted.

London’s greatest hits and then some!
Mick was our tour driver for the London Highlights 3.5 hour taxi tour. He was charming and knowledgeable. The thing I appreciated most about him was he never made us feel rushed. Mick added few detours along the way for the die-hard musician in our party–like to Abbey Road and to the building where The Beatles made their final public appearance. He also made time for us to grab a quick coffee. Mick is obviously very passionate about doing a good job and making sure everybody got to see everything and then some. A great way to kick off a trip to London, see a bunch of things and get to know a local.
We came here for my Mom’s 70th birthday and she said this was her favorite part of the week!

Super Wonderful Tour
I want to say thank you Mike and Mick for a super time for making my family and I a super wonderful time in London. We will always remember it and never forget it. I know that people do not read a feedback when it is too long but people need to read this. My husband, daughter and our 9 year old granddaughter went to London for a 100th anniversary at Gilwell Park for boy scouts. London Black Taxis is the company I booked with. They were going to pick us up at Gilwell Park on a Sunday and take us on our tour but I was not feeling good and we booked a hotel that Saturday so that meant we had to change our plans. My daughter called them to explain. There was no problem because they were there to pick us up that Sunday from the hotel and took us on a tour which my family and I will never forget. I wanted education about London for my daughter who is a teacher and for my 9 year old granddaughter and I also wanted them to have a fun tour, which Mick did. Our tour guide Mick was on was on top of his game. He was fun to be with. He did a tour that fit something for all of us. We got out and took pictures. I could keep on writing about this great company but I wanted to get the main points. Thank you Mike for your help with my booking and understanding and thank you Mick for a super wonderful tour. If I ever return to London I will use you again.

A Wonderful Time
If you have only a couple of hours in London, the London Highlights Taxi Tour we booked would be perfect for you. Our ship docked in Dover and only offered one “shore excursion” — just the transportation to and from London from the Port of Dover. Once I found out where the ship’s “shore excursion” drop off/pick up place in London would be the London Eye, Mike, the owner of the London Black Taxi Tours arranged a 2 ½ hour private tour of the city for our group of six who had never been to London. George Davidson, who was our driver/guide, was very knowledgeable about the city and was familiar with all the ways to get around the very heavy traffic we encountered everywhere. We saw a number of traditional sights such as Big Ben (although under repair), the Tower of London, The London Eye on the Thames, and the Houses of Parliament and stopped at the London Bridge and in front of Buckingham Palace for group photos despite the time constraints and hectic traffic. We were very happy to be able to see some highlights of London. Thank you for a wonderful time!

We enjoyed ourselves immensely
We had a fabulous time on our tours. We had only a couple of days to spend in London, and were looking for a way to make the best use of our time . We took a London By Night tour with Steve and a customized London Highlights Tour with Mick. But here’s the deal: everything they do is customized. Both Steve and Mick are charming, engaging, asking us questions that shaped our tour. We are Americans, so we were treated to a few things that might especially interest us. We enjoy music, so we got a few Beatles tidbits. Their knowledge allowed us to slip in to some of the best photo-taking spots, places we would not have found ourselves! Mick took photos of us, so we didn’t have to resort to selfies. Steve’s beautiful new taxi allowed us to see so much of London, beautifully lit up at night, and we never would have ventured out alone, especially in the rain (and with jet lag!). Both Steve and Mick kept us laughing, and we enjoyed ourselves immensely, We had the next day or so to spend a little more time in the places that interested us, places we might not have considered, but for our Taxi tour. We would do these tours again, we would take friends and family, and we highly recommend them to anyone reading these reviews. A big thank-you to Mike for organizing everything.

A myriad of historic and cultural sites
My husband and I spent the day with London Black Taxi Tours on their London Highlights Tour. Our guide and driver Mick was genuinely gracious and fantastically funny. He delivered everything we wanted and so much more. He was able to show us the highlights of London, capturing the history and charm of an amazing city, and also share anecdotes to adapt to our tastes.
Mick relayed the tales of a myriad of historic and cultural sites in interesting and entertaining ways. We visited more places than we could have ever imagined (and we have our pictures in front of every site as well!). We learned so much in such a light and easy atmosphere. You can’t help feel that Mick is an old, long lost friend within minutes of meeting him. We hated to say goodbye at the end of the day.
This was honestly the best thing we did in London (and we did a lot of great things). We weren’t sure if we should do a guided tour or try a hop on type deal, but wow — no doubt in our minds that we did the right thing. I would most highly recommend London Black Taxi Tours and Mick specifically. It was the highlight of our already fantastic trip.

Harry Potter
Our driver Bob for the Harry Potter Taxi Tour was amazing. He made the tour come alive for us.

Head and shoulders above the rest, no kidding!
London Black Taxis are head and shoulders above other transportation services in London because of the knowledge and professionalism of the drivers. I’ve used them on other visits to London and this time booked them for a private tour — they DID NOT disappoint!! Despite the transit strike the day we used them and heavy rain which made traffic a nightmare, our driver took us to all the sites on the London Highlights Tour, included stops for us to get out and take pictures and shared pictures and information about locations that’s not in the travel brochures. I recommend London Black Taxis and Tours to everyone.
